Today was my day to help out in Jordanne's class.

As I was roving around, she sidled up to me and whispered, "I am so lucky to have a mummy like you."

She is the queen of affirmation and validation.

At recess time, Jordanne held up a $2 coin and announced that she was going to the canteen.

"I have enough for two frozen juice cups, one for you and one for me. What flavour would you like: apple, orange or pineapple?"

Remembering that she had only $2.25 in her purse, I was touched by her generosity.

She then asked if I would like to sit with her in the quiet area to enjoy our juice cups.

I count myself blessed to have a child who has a big heart and who finds sharing a natural and pleasurable thing to do.
