My firstborn has been on a rollercoaster ride this year, and her parents have chosen to ride it with her.

It seems to me that lately, she has changed again.

There is a new softness to her.

More hugs.

A little more willingness to reveal herself, and a little less sarcasm and defiance.

She is still quirky and idiosyncratic, and sometimes I really cannot understand her.

But bit by bit, the Holy Spirit is making its presence and power felt.

May He continue to guide and shape His magnificent, precious, fragile creation.
